In the masthead market of the United States, South Asian community newspapers scream for attention but either strut round with partisan agendas peeping out of their back pockets or display a total lack of ideological stance on issues that matter.

World Sikh News is a community newspaper published from California since the last five years and endevours to become a world publication with multiple editions from wherever there is a pre-dominant Sikh and Punjabi population. It seeks to redefine the idiom of Sikh approach and focus to global issues.

Civil and political, religious, social and economic interests of the community and human rights are prime areas of focus for World Sikh News.

World Sikh News sticks to a set of positive values in both indepth reporting news and insightful analysis.

WSN seeks a discerning readership. Every week, the newspaper holds a mirror – to its own people. History of colonialism, transformation in nation states, the rights campaigns, the global market mechanism, and struggle for ethnic recognition are issues that concern WSN.

We are making an effort for an emancipatory pedagogy.

Come, be a part of it.

Jagmohan Singh
Editor-in-Chief, World Sikh News
