Hurriyat chief Geelani under house arrest
WSN Network

SRINAGAR: Adamant on its policy of not even allowing the ethnic minorities to listen to each other, the Indian nation state exposed itself once more by putting under house arrest on Sunday the Chairman of the hardline faction of Hurriyat Conference Syed Ali Geelani, a move clearly aimed at stopping him from attending a function organised in Amritsar to mark the anniversary of Operation Bluestar.

Confirming that he was not allowed to move out, Geelani said over phone that “now the government does not allow him to visit the Indian cities and it exposes its claims that it is a free and democratic country.”
