College joy at GCSE successes

BUCKHURST HILL: Students at the Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College ensured further improvements in its GCSE exam results. Buckhurst Hill is a suburban town in the Epping Forest district of Essex and forms part of the Greater London Urban Area.

Headteacher Amarjit Singh Toor said: “We are very pleased that our results have improved again. All of our pupils have achieved five or more GCSEs at A* to C level. This figure is 93 per cent with English, Maths and other subjects, which is a four per cent improvement on last year.”

He added: “All our pupils have achieved the required grades for their intended advanced courses.

Among the top achievers were Zubair Ahmed (nine A* to B grades) ,Vishnu Chudasama (12 A* to B grades), Gurmukh Pansesar (15 GCSEs with four A* and three As), Rakhee Shah 14 A* to B grades), Harpinder Dahele (12 A* to C grades), Manpreet Gakhal (16 GCSEs with three A* and six As) and Sachi Patel (15 GCSEs with nine A*s and 4As).
