Mayor of Fremont Inaugurates the Genius Kids Mission Campus
WSN Network

FREMONT: September 27, 2007 saw the official opening for the Genius Kids Mission Campus located in the new Mission Courtyard across from Ohlone College. The Mayor of Fremont, Bob Wasserman and Councilwoman Anu Natarajan were present for the ribbon cutting ceremony. It was a private event with close family, friends and parents.

Mayor Bob Wasserman commended Rennu for her continued contributions to the community in education and performing arts. He emphasized the importance of education dating back to when he was a police officer in the juvenile department. "I wish there had been schools like Genius Kids where I could have referred many children who needed help. Genius Kids provides an important purpose to our community". Councilwoman Anu Natarajan, who happens to also be a parent of Genius Kids applauded Rennu for being a role model to woman and children and said "We need bumper stickers that say I am a proud parent of a Genius Kid!"

Genius Kids is an Accelerated Learning Center for children from toddler to Kindergarten ages, and offers continuing enrichment classes for after school for grades K-6. Their methodology and philosophy uses pictures, imagery and personal interaction with an award winning in-house curriculum developed and designed by Dhillon to teach children important social, academic and life learning skills. "A simple example of a fun activity during reading is the large cooking pot in each classroom where kids come to cook yummy words every day using Rennu's Reading Recipes. The youngest fluent readers are as small as 2 years 3 months old and several Genius Kids graduates are creating waves in the community by winning Regional competitions, public speaking events, promotions to other grades and special gifted programs. The uniqueness of the program is the public speaking and communication program that each child engages in every day at school". Children engage in developing their own learning styles in a relaxed but challenging and highly stimulating environment. Their website www.geniuskidsonline.com is a fun site where children log in and listen to stories, latest news and music as well as conduct homework through online radio broadcasts.

Each center is decorated beautifully with life size cartoon murals that have been hand drawn and painted by Rennu herself. "Our centers are boutique preschools so if you are looking for a program that is guaranteed to be effective and nurturing, then you need to visit us".

Rennu is in the process of launching the very first interactive online preschool where parents from around the globe will have access to using her highly effective teaching methods to home school. Her vision is to go global and Mission Campus was their third center. The Toto Station offers Baby Genius Programs and classes in the performing arts.
