WRITING THE GURU’S WORD
WSN Network

FREMONT: In a remarkable feat, Bhai Jaswant Singh Khosa, known for his caligraphic writing of  Sikh scriptures, has now dedicated his fourth hand-written bir of Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji, and has dedicated it to Gurdwara Sahib, Fremont. Bhai Khosa’s earlier caligraphed birs are at Southall (UK), Edmonton (Canada) and at Har Ki Pauri (Amritsar). Bhai Khosa was inspired to undertake the immensely responsible task after several hand written birs were destroyed at Sri Akal Takht Sahib during Operation Bluestar, the Indian Army’s attack on the Golden Temple. The bir at Gurdwara Fremont is probably the biggest hand-written scripture of the Sikhs.
