Gurdwara Sahib, Fremont in California took a lead in this connection and organized a fund raising led by Malkiat Singh Dhaliwal. About $16,000 were collected which were sent to the Clinton-Bush committee set up by US President Barack Obama. The amount was sent via Fremont CA Mayor Bob Wasserman.
