Bay Area Sports Club meets,
discusses plans

City: All members and sponsors of Bay Area Sports Club from all over
California gathered for a meeting on July 26 at Raja Sweets in
Union
City. The
meeting was called by Chairman Baljit Sandhu who welcomed and
introduced the new members of the club: Bhupinder Singh Sidhu Tracy,
Jaswinder Singh Sidhu Tracy, and Gurdial Singh Dhillon Modesto.
Baljit Sandhu gave out handouts regarding info about the club’s
past, present, and future. Including player salaries, sponsor names,
club budget, and future plans.
Everyone gave
Baljit their undivided attention while he spoke about the club.
Within the short time period of the meeting, the budget gap pending
for 2010 season has been taken care of 85%. Balyog Sandhu and
brother, Raj Bhanot Sunnyvale, Dilbagh Sandhu and relatives, Kala
Sahota Tracy and Relatives, Mangal Dhillon Santa Rosa and friends,
Master Deepak Union City, Gurdial Singh Dhillon Modesto, Hardev
Chana and brothers, Avtar Singh Tari, Kuldeep Sandhu and brothers,
Raja Sweets, Sucha Sandhu, Ganesh Lala, Tirath Palahi, Balbir Johal,
Narinder Sujjan, and Lakhbir Sangha have already pledged donations
for the 2010 season. A club statement said other contributors will
be recognized in the future as well as the actual dollar donation
amount when the time is right. "Our committee is very pleased with
the progress achieved through the meeting. A full list of the
committee members and sponsors will be published in the near future.
Special thanks is given to Raja Sweets for hosting the event as well
as covering all costs for catering," it said.
