Pawandeep Kaur is Miss Kaur 2009
WSN Bureau

MUMBAI: The Miss Kaur contest organised by the Sat Sri Akaal Charitable Trust concluded at the famous Shanmukhnanda Hall on 16 January, with Pawandeep Kaur from Delhi emerging as the winner and Manmeet Kaur from Amritsar as the First Runner up. Hardeep Kaur from Delhi was the second runner-up.

Labh Singh Janjua of Jee Karda fame from the Bollywood movie Singh is King regaled the audience with his song and dance. All the nineteen finalists were adjudged on the basis of their knowledge of Sikhism, Punjabi folklore, their personality and their adherence to the fundamental Sikh tenet of keeping unshorn hair.
