Sue Chan files for Fremont City

FREMONT: Suzanne
"Sue" Chan has announced her candidacy for Fremont City Council and
said she wanted "to give back to the community that has given my
family so much."
"The next
council has a lot of work to do, and I believe I have the experience
and qualifications to get the job done."
"I am running
for City Council because I believe we are experiencing an historic
and dramatic change in our national political experience and I want
to bring these same changes to the local level, here in the City of
Fremont,"
her official website said.
Sue will reach
out to voters through a grassroots well orchestrated ground
operation, aggressive mailing campaign, and outreach via the
Internet. her candidacy found support from former Assembly member
John Dutra who said that Sue Chan is "a good, decent, highly
educated woman of integrity."
Mayor Bob
Wasserman also endorsed Chan, saying, "She cares for the city, she
will make an excellent council member and advocate for the city."
Sue has been a
resident of
Fremont for over
23 years. Sue and her husband Steve run a local small business and
are parents of two sons, Scott and Tracy, both graduates of
Fremont
public schools.
