Sikhs extend helping hand to migrant Gujjars

JAMMU: Various Sikh organizations have been distributing ration and other essential commodities among the migrant Gujjar families at Mata Gujri Teacher Training Institution Sunjwan. Led by ex-president of J&K State Gurdwara Parbandhak Board Sudershan Singh Wazir, who along with other Sikh representatives addressed the migrants from Jammu and Kathua districts stressed upon families to maintain communal harmony. The Sikh leaders have extended sympathy to families of those killed in the state during turbulent situation. Wazir Taranjit Singh Tony, chief organiser Bhai Kanahiya Jee Nishkam Seva Society Mohinder Singh, president of SAD Amritsar Adeep Singh, president of AISSF Paramjit Singh, and many other SIkh leaders were present.
