Indo-Canadian teen drowns after rescuing girlfriend
WSN Network

Vancouver: The body of an Indo-Canadian teen who was reported to have mysteriously drowned in a river here a week ago has been found. Seventeen-year-old Harnek Aulakh went missing in the early hours of Aug 14 when he went to the Fraser bank in Richmond with his girlfriend. He reportedly jumped into the river to save his girlfriend who had slipped into the water. Though he managed to save the girlfriend by pulling her out, Aulakh was swept away by the strong current.

The deceased was the only son of immigrants from a village near Phagwara.
