Sundri -The
Brave Kaur, now
on DVD
WSN Bureau
As
the year comes to a close, there is no doubt that in the
entertainment industry of the Sikhs, Sundri-the movie and the death
of Ishmeet Singh are two events which are unforgettable. Much more
has happened, including the Online film festival and the fostering
of Sikh cinematic talent, but these two have dominated the scenario.
After the unprecedented success of Sahibzadey and Rise of Khalsa,
this animated masterpiece by Vismaad is based on Bhai Vir Singh Ji's
masterpiece
of the same name.
The film salutes Sikh women and presents a piece of history which
celebrates equality and respect. Sukhwinder Singh, the director of
the film has done an excellent job.
For those who are worried about female foeticide in
Punjab,
the movie may be a big answer.
To
counter counterfeit DVDs, now the movie is available on DVDs at
