Sehajdhari
WSN Network
AMRITSAR:
Leading Sikh seminary Damdami Taksal has rejected the definition of
Sehajdhari Sikh formulated by by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak
Committee (SGPC) in an affidavit submitted to the Punjab and Haryana
High Court and said not just the Taksal but the entire Sant Samaj
will oppose the move.
Harnam Singh
Dhumma, chief of Damdami Taksal, said a meeting of various sects of
Sant Samaj and Nihang organizations will take a clear stand on this
and the move by the SGPC to open floodgates for non-Sikhs to sneak
into the fold of the religion under the garb of Sehajdharis will not
be allowed to succeed.
The meeting has
been scheduled at the Taksal’s headquarters at Chowk Mehta on
December 24 to decide on an action plan.
