head, points weapons
WSN Network
AMRITSAR: A
local politician who had gone to drop off his grand-daughter to
school in Patti basshed up the head of the school when he asked them
not to carry or brandish weapons in the school premises. Senior
Congress leader Tarlok Singh Chakwalia and his two private gunmen
thrashed school head Father Lawrence of Sacred Heart Convent School
when he was asked that little kids may get frightened at the sight
of weapons and these are not allowed on school premises.
The staff and
students from even other school branches had to jam the main Patti
Road for nearly seven hours and only then the police registered a
case against Chakwalia. SSP S.S. Brar and Deputy Commissioner Khushi
Ram had to personally visit the spot to pacify the protesters.
Police has now registered a case under sections 307, 452, 323, 506,
34 of IPC against Chakwalia and his two gunmen.
Father Lawrence,
now in Civil Hospital in Patti, said he cannot understand why a
kid's grandfather would insist on carrying weapons into her school
and will then have no qualms about beating the school head.
