finds more stink
WSN Bureau
CHANDIGARH:
Dera Sacha Sauda head has done so much of Jhootha Sauda that withthe
passing of every single day, he is sinking deep into trouble. Even
as the High Court has so far refused to come to his aid, and his
bail applications are only eliciting repeated dates, there is worse
that is happening to this enemy of the guru-ghar who is getting the
backing of the Indian leadership. Every now and then, the
independent sections of the media are coming up with shocking
revelations about the conduct of Gurmeet Ram Rahim.
After a driver Khatta Singh had come out openly against Gurmeet Ram
Rahim, the rooh-afza drinking wrestler whose soul requires
nourishing by young sadhvis whom he raped for years as per the CBI
of India, another of his drivers Gobind Singh has now lodged lodged
a written complaint with the investigating agency on Monday,
accusing Gurmeet Ram of eliminating Dera Manager Faqir Chand.
Gobind Singh's complaint comes a few days after the Central Bureau
of Investigation filed chargesheets against the Dera chief for his
alleged involvement in two murder cases. Even India's India TV
channel and the CNN-IBN channel carried detailed reporting and
interviews of the driver Gobind Singh.
Besides sending his complaint to the CBI SP (Special Crime Branch)
and the CBI Director, the driver has sent complaints to the Chief
Justice of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, the Superintendent of
Police, Sirsa, and DGP of Haryana. He has demanded registration of
an FIR against the Dera chief and associates for allegedly killing
Faqir Chand and offered to become a witness.
Gobind Singh has alleged that Faqir Chand, who served as a Dera
Manager for over 30 years, was murdered on Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh's
instructions by confidants Sukhdev Singh and Resham Singh in
December 1990. As per the complaint, while Sukhev Singh is a
resident of Diwana village in Moga, Resham Singh is a resident of
Rureke village in Barnala.
Earlier, Khatta Singh - important independent witness linking the
Dera chief to the murders of one Ranjit Singh and a Sirsa-based
journalist, Ram Chander Chhatrapati - had made similar allegations.
Gobind Singh says he joined the Dera in 1977 and served with
previous Dera head Shah Satnam Singh and then with Gurmeet Ram Rahim
Singh till 1997.
About four months after taking over as the Dera head in September
1990, Ram Rahim summoned Sukhdev Singh and Resham Singh and in his
presence ordered them to kill Faqir Chand, who was a confidant of
Shah Satnam Singh, Gobind Singh alleged.
"The two brought Faqir Chand in a room near the 'gufa' (cave) and
beat him up mercilessly. When Faqir Chand got unconscious, they on
the instructions of the Dera chief put him in a jeep. I was told to
drive the jeep… Faqir Chand was taken to a 'dhani' (farm outhouse)
at Phoolkan village, 8 km from the Dera. Here, Faqir Chand was
murdered," says Gobind Singh in his complaint.
He claims three more persons - Baldev Singh of Mithdi in Dabwali,
Dharam Singh of Bani Nathore in Rajasthan and Darshan Singh of
Bilaspur in Moga were present when the Dera Manager was killed.
"Sukhdev Singh told me and Baldev that Ram Rahim had ordered that
the body be burnt and thrown in some canal… I was told to drive the
tractor. I drove it up to Panjuana canal. The body was thrown in the
canal," the driver added.
In his complaint, Gobind Singh has requested the Chief Justice to
issue directions to the CBI or SP, Sirsa, to register a case and
investigate the matter.
Meanwhile, on August 20, the Punjab and Haryana High Court issued
notice to CBI on Gurmit Ram's bail plea after the chargesheets filed
by the agency against him in connection with two cases of murder and
alleged rape of a disciple. Justice Surya Kant directed the Chief
Investigating officer to be present in the court on August 22 with
the entire record pertaining to the murder of Sirsa-based journalist
Ram Chander Chatterpatti and dera manager Ranjit Singh. In the rape
case, Justice L N Mittal issued notice to the CBI for August 28. The
Ambala court has issued notice for August 31 to the Dera chief after
CBI filed the chargesheet. Just as the WSN was going to the press,
the High Court was again to hear baba's please for bail.
