Religious fervour
dots Fremont

While United
States is gearing up for the upcoming presidential elections, Sikh
Americans are in their social and religious best celebrating the
Tercentenary of the Guruship of Guru Granth Sahib.
Gurdwara Sahib
Fremont was a picturesque representation of the religious fervour
all over the globe. With the bhog of 31 non-stop recitations of the
religious text amidst kirtan, langar, political speeches, gatka
display and decoration of the Gurdwara and its precicints, the Sikhs
were in a festive mood. Each participant at the function was engaged
in being part of the spiritual consciousness of the occasion.
Reiterating
their resolve to be a religio-political nation, speakers at the
celebration committed themselves to the transformation of society to
a politicaly conscious, humane society dedicated to peace and
progress of mankind.
Sikhs vowed to
spread the message of the Guru. Every Sikh seemed to be chanting
“300 Saal Guru de Naal” and “Sabh Sikhan ko hukam hai, Guru Maneyo
Granth.
