Online Sports Magazine in Punjabi launched
WSN Bureau 

CHANDIGARH:  Sports writer, photo artiste and teacher, Prof. Kanwaljit Singh, sports journalist Jagrup Singh Jarkhar, Wrestler Pehalwan Harmail Singh Kala and Kulwant Singh Sohal have recently launched the first online monthly sports magazine in Punjab.  The website, www.punjabsports.com contains articles about the sports scene in Punjab as well as showcases statistics about the role of Punjabi sportspersons in Olympics and other games. 

The website provides ample details of upcoming sports events and should serve in the coming period, if handled more professionally, has the potential to promote a vibrant sports culture in Punjab. 

The site provides contact details of various international sports organizations as well as that of the Punjab Rural Sports Promotion Council.  

Apart from the main sports section, the site has a rich photo feature section with exclusive photographs by many artistes including Prof. Kanwaljit Singh, Swaranjit Savi, Jaswant Zafar, A.P. Singh and Rakesh Syal.   It also has paintings by Taljit Singh, Tejinder Garcha and Jaspal Singh.
