Man behind Darbar Sahib replica submits to Takht's authority
WSN Network

AMRITSAR: A meeting of the Sikh clergy on Monday  absolved Sant Balwant Singh Sihore Wale of Sangrur of all charges of encouraging Sikhs of his area to build a replica of Harmandar Sahib in Sangrur after he submitted that he considered Guru Granth Sahib and Akal Takht supreme.

The five high priests also warned land mafia against installing Nishan Sahib to gain control over properties, a tactics widely used by some elements in Punjab. There were reports that certain groups were using the Sikh symbol to avoid legal action against encroachment. The high priests also asked the gurdwara committee of Finland not to introduce changes in the morning and evening prayers. Gurdwaras abroad serving "langar" on tables were asked to stop the practice.
