Firefighters act to stop fire
outside UK gurdwara

Arsonists
started a blaze outside a Sikh gurdwara. The fire was started in a
skip secured on a lorry, which had been left in the grounds of the
Gurdwara Guru Panth Prakash in Ashford Road, off Welford Road,
Leicester. Firefighters and police were called out at about 11.20pm
on Saturday. The blaze was put out within half an hour and they
managed to stop it spreading to the gurdwara. Police are appealing
for anyone with information to call them on 0116 222 2222.
