Americans join Obama’s team

WASHINGTON:
Aneesh Paul Chopra Shah, has been appointed as
U.S.
president Barack Obama’s chief performance officer. Chopra will
promote technological innovation to help US meet its goals from job
creation, reducing health care costs and protecting the homeland,
Obama said. The US President also announced the nomination of Rajiv
J Shah as the Under Secretary for Research, Education and Economics
in the Department of Agriculture. Shah is currently the director of
agricultural development in the global development program of the
Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Shah has also been a health care
policy advisor on former U.S. Vice President Al Gore’s 2000
presidential campaign and a member of Pennsylvania Governor Edward
Rendell's transition committee on health.
