Satnam Singh
Khalsa
FREMONT:
Dedicated to the memory of the martyrdom of 40 Muktas, the second
Nam Simran exercise was organized from January 1, 2010 and will
continue till February 17, 2010. Carried out at Gurdwara Sahib,
Fremont, the program features Path of Sri Sukhmani Sahib in sangat
from 8 pm to 9.15 pm. The Path was also broadcast and webcast
through Radio Geet Sangeet and Internet. Those who could not reach
the gurdwara were able to participate through these means.
The sangat thus
got an opportunity to remember the great sacrifice of the 40 Muktas
besides learning a lesson in how any distance from the Guru can be
mended if one is clear in his/her heart and has an honesty of
purpose, just as the 40 Muktas had who returned to the fold of the
Guru.
Sewa
and Simran continued for three days. Langar of traditional dry
fruits that are often consumed on Lohri, for example ground nuts,
reoris and sweets, continued. The Tutt brothers performed the sewa
of langar and Akhand Path ji. S. Surjit Singh Tutt, Jaggi Tutt, S.
Amrik Singh were all doing sewa along with their families.
S. Kulwant Singh
Lachhar remained unmoved by the torrential rain and kept on
performing the sewa of sugarcane juice. Raja Sweets folks kept
supplying jalebis, pakoras etc.
