Sikh kids join sangat in memory of 1984 victims
WSN Bureau

FREMONT: Little children from Khalsa School, Fremont joined other sangat members on October 29 in lighting candles to commemprate the innocents who were killed in the anti-Sikh pogroms in Delhi 25 years ago by bloodthirsty mobs under the watch of Hindutva minded forces. In an atomosphere of deep anguish and pain, a documentary on the killings of the Sikhs left everyone sad beyond words.

The sangat did path of Chaupai Sahib after placing the candles around Nishan Sahib. The call for underlining the concern for the community's memories was given by United Sikhs and Voices of Freedom.

Gursimran Kaur, Amar Sangeet Kaur and Japneet Kaur brifed the sangat about the holocaust wreaked upon the Sikhs in 1984 and made a plea for unity in the panth.

They particularly exhorted the youth to come forward and engage with the community's concerns. Pooja Kaur, Mehar Singh, Kashmir Singh Shahi and Bibi Sarabjeet Kaur Cheema also participated.
