Selma new Gurdwara Premises
inauguration on September 21

FRESNO:
The ten year old
dream of the Sangat will come true when the new Gurdwara premises
will be inaugurated here on 21 September. The new building at Selma
is ready and the installation of Guru Granth Sahib in the new
premises will take place on 19th September with the Arambhta of
Akhand Path. The Sikh Centre of Pacific Coast management is making
all preparations to make the opening of the new premises a memorable
event. On 18th September, the Kesri Nishan Sahib would be installed.
On 19th September, Guru Granth Sahib will be taken in a procession
from the old premises to the new one.
The Bhog of
Akhan Path will take place on Sunday, 21 September and will be
followed by Kirtan, Katha and Guru Ka Langar. Bhai Paramjit Singh
Khalsa Katha Vachak, Bhai Mohinder Singh from
Amritsar,
Bhai Narinder Singh of Gurdwara Bangla Sahib,
New Delhi
and the Dhadi Jatha of Bhai Gurnam Singh Bhandal will perform Kirtan
and Dhadi Waar. The organizers have invited community leaders of
other faith groups also to grace the occasion. The new premises are
huge and there is provision for library, a huge Langar hall, and a
social hall which will be used for Sunday Schools too. Massive
arrangements have been made for Langar on this auspicious occasion.
