Jassi Khangura gives a call for
adopting Punjab villages
Satnam Singh Khalsa
FREMONT: Well
known enterprising businessman and rising star of Punjab Congress,
MLA Jassi Khangura, who visited Fremont in connection with a
marriage, has called upon the Diaspora to adopt the villages of
Punjab and ensure all round development of the state.
Khangura called
upon the non-resident Punjabis to return and invest in
Punjab.
Highly critical
of the SAD-BJP regime in Punjab, Khangura praised former CM
Amarinder Singh of Congress. He said it was possible to take Punjab
to the same level of development as California has attained today,
provided the rulers have a vision and the government is ready to
follow a path of development in the true spirit of democracy rather
than looking after the interests of a few.
Among the
leaders accompanying Khangura were Kamaljit Singh Khangura, Balbir
Singh Sekhon, Jagdish Singh Khangura, Jassi Gill, Kaur Singh Cheema,
7-11 stores’ owner Ajmer Singh Bittu, Gill Brothers of Fresno and
many other leaders from California.
