Sukhbir re-jigs top SAD brass, is
PAC boss now

CHANDIGARH:
One more
milestone crossed. Parkash Singh Badal is no more the Chairman of
the Akali Dal's Political Affairs Committee (PAC); that post Sukhbir
Singh Badal has kept for himself as he recast the PAC. SAD Youth
Wing, Women Wing, Kissan Wing, Dalit Wing, the Backward Classes
Wing, Legal Wing, Industry Wing, Trade Wing, Student Organisation of
India and the NRI wing were also announced.
Badal Sr will
now be patron of PAC. Minister and Badals' kin Bikramjit Singh
Majithia was made patron of the Youth Akali Dal, while Sukhbir
loyalist Kiranbir Singh Kang its president. Naresh Gujral is now
also in PAC. Ranjit Singh Brahmpura, Gurdev Singh Badal, Jathedar
Tota Singh, Bibi Jagir Kaur and Bhai Manjit Singh were made senior
vice-presidents. Sant Jagjit Singh Ji Lopo, Amarjit Singh Bhatia,
Hari Singh Zira, Gobind Singh Longowal, Gobind Singh Kanjla, Veer
Singh Lopoke, Parkash Chand Garg, Chiranji Lal Garg, Balwinder Singh
Saifdipur, Harish Rai Dhanda, Rajinder Singh Kanjhla, Onkar Singh
Thapar and Gaganjit Singh Barnala were all made vice-presidents.
Paramjit Kaur Gulshan is now president of the Istri Akali Dal while
Balwinder Singh Bhunder heads the farmers' wing and Gurdev Singh
Badal will be patron of Dalit wing
