Dr. Daya Singh Sandhu Elected

Dr. Daya
Singh Sandhu, Distinguished Professor of Research, Senior Fulbright
Research Scholar and former chairman of the department of
Educational and Counseling Psychology at University of Louisville is
elected as the national president of the Association for
Multicultural Counseling and Development (AMCD) by receiving 59.36
percent votes in a nation wide held election. His term shall begin
on July
1, 2009.
AMCD provides
global leadership, research, training and development for
multicultural counseling professionals with a focus on racial and
ethnic issues. ACA has also selected Dr. Sandhu as the chairman for
its Research and Knowledge Committee which is considered as one of
the most prestigious and coveted positions by members of the
American Counseling Association.
