of returning to India

Jalandhar:
Two students of MBA International of Lovely Professional University,
who were part of a 62 strong group that visited US as part of their
curriculum for international exposure, did the disappearing act from
Charlotte airport on July 11 when they were to fly back to
India.
The University
faculty members who accompanied the group lodged a complaint with US
authorities. Aman Mittal, Director, Corporate Relations of the
University, said the students disappeared with the consent of their
parents. Not surprisingly, the parents did not seem much anxious
when the university authorities contacted them.
One student is
from Uttar Pradesh while the other is from Haryana. The group had
gone to US on June 13 for one month industrial/academic visit. “The
visit was an extension of the two stage international exposure
program of MBA International which was designed specially to create
global human resources capable of handling job positions demanding
internationally acclaimed skills,” a University statement said.
During their one
month long trip to USA, University of North Carolina, Charlotte, the
students visited eminent corporate houses. Mittal revealed that one
student Kuldeep Mittal escaped from the security area on the pretext
that he forgot a bag behind but never returned. “When the faulty
members realized that he had disappeared and they were lodging a
complaint, another student Srajan Kumar of UP found an opportunity
and escaped from near the check in area."
"We
immediately contacted the families of both the students and their
response was quite casual and clearly smacked of their connivance.
Srajan’s father even told that his son was grown up and he would not
ask him to come back. Kuldeep’s family remained inaccessible for two
days and finally when they switched on their mobile phones on Monday
there was little anxiety in their response,” Mittal disclosed.
