WSN Network
KUALA LUMPUR:
Members of the Klang Valley Sikh community, some as young as 10
years old, put their hands deep into their pockets this weekend to
help the Palestinians in Gaza.
Six Sikh temples had set up collection boxes over the
weekend, and Malaysia Sikh Youth Organisation president Malkith
Singh and committee members Jai Nanak Singh and Jasdeep Singh came
to Balai Berita to hand over the RM10,000 collected to the NSTP Fund
for Gaza.
“Being charitable is part of our religion, and there is no
age limit to help others. A 90-yearold woman who had just received
her pension gave RM100 to the fund.
