Mumbai to witness Miss Kaur contest
WSN Network

Riding high on the success of the Mr. Singh contest in the last two years, the Sat Sri Akal Charitable Trust has made all arrangements for holding the Miss Kaur Beauty cum Talent pageant on 16 January at the prestigious Shanmukhnanda Hall.

Elaborating on the rationale for the contest, Puran Singh Banga said, "We have received numerous requests for holding a show dedicated to Sikh women and the present show is our response."

Punjabi traditions, uncut long hair and dedication to Sikh way of life are some of the key criteria that would be judged at this unique festival celebrating the advancement of Sikh women. Of the hundreds of applicants, a score of young Sikh ladies have been listed as finalists and they would present themselves to the glitterati of the Indian glamour world.
