Amarinder won't
make any difference: Badal
WSN Network
BANUR: Chief
Minister Parkash Singh Badal has said former CM Capt Amarinder
Singh's appointment as Congress Campaign Committee chairman for
Punjab will not be any challenge for Akalis in Lok Sabha.
Badal's comments are in keeping with the typically derisive style of
politics where politicians always say the other will not have any
impact, no matter how progressive or politically challenging the
development. The idea of rival candidates praising each other is
almost non-existent and personal attacks are made blatantly and more
often than not from behind a mike.
“We have seen his (Amarinder’s) capability as CM as during his
tenure he could manage to win only two seats and we in Opposition
captured 11 out of 13,” Badal said, not caring to mention that
during his own CMship, the Congress had returned much better figures
in 1998.
