An Event to connect
the Sikh Youth with Parents
WSN Network
FRESNO:
Empathising with the frustration faced by parents today who fail to
understand what is going on in their childrens' lives, the Jakara
Movement has undertaken a focussed effort to re-connect the kids
with Sikhi and has invited all members of the community for its
annual summer conference. "Come whether your child particpates or
not." That is the message the Jakara staff and activists have for
the community for their Sunday Banquet on June 21, 2009. The Banquet
is being billed as a window to see the steps the children are taking
to make Sikhi prosper.
"Our Sunday Banquet will allow you to see the programs and
activites your children are implementing in the Sikh community to
show their commitment to Sikhi's core values," a statement of the
group said. The Banquet will be held in Fresno, California at the
International Catering Banquet Hall, located on the corner of Ashlan
and West. The banquet begins at 12pm and ends at 4pm on Sunday June
21, 2009. The address for the banquet hall is: International
Catering Banquet Hall, 4277 N. West Ave., Fresno, CA 93705. Contact
jakaramovement@gmail.com or call at 1-888-JAKARA-1 to reserve your
seat. Please RSVP by Wednesday June 17, 2009.
