lobbying firms to get recognize the fact that massacre of Sikhs in
November 1984 is not anti-Sikh riots as portrayed by the Government
of India for the last twenty five years but it is "Genocide" as the
massacre of Sikhs were systematic, planned and organized by the
political leaders with the active help of Police and Paramilitary
forces.
He said lobbying
firms will make efforts to move motions in US Congress, Canadian
Parliament and in European Union States to recognize massacre of
Sikhs in November 1984 as "Genocide".

"I am
at a loss for words when I think about how many talented and
innocent lives were needlessly lost, approximately 25 million people
worldwide currently identify themselves as adherents of the Sikh
faith, and I believe the size of this following is a testament to
the religions strong message of devotion, truthful living, and
equality of mankind." -- US Congressman Martin Heinrich

The Congressman
Ed Town said, "Peace, justice, equality, respect for right to
practice religion are the values we cherish and support. We have to
get them (Government of India) to listen. I believe
United States
has the power to make them listen to the demand for justice. It is
the duty of United States to preserve human rights around the
globe". The Congressman approved the resolution demanding
country-wide enquiry into the Genocide of Sikhs in November 1984 and
appended his signatures on the document which he said would be made
a part of the Congressional record.
US Congressman
Martin Heinrich stated the terrible events that transpired between
October 31 and November 4, 1984 resulted in the heartbreaking loss
of around 30, 000 Sikhs. "I am at a loss for words when I think
about how many talented and innocent lives were needlessly lost,
approximately 25 million people worldwide currently identify
themselves as adherents of the Sikh faith, and I believe the size of
this following is a testament to the religions strong message of
devotion, truthful living, and equality of mankind." It is my hope
we will continue raising the level of awareness of this genocide so
that investigations are conducted and justice is ultimately
achieved.
US Congressman
Brad Sherman stated that "Justice Awareness: November 1984 Sikh
Genocide, is dedicated to strengthening global awareness and
recognition of the November 1984 Sikh Genocide. It is important for
all citizens to be aware off the current complex issues regarding
human rights and what it may mean worldwide..........the important
mission of creating a national community that is cognizant of this
injustice and generating support in educating those who are unaware
of the inhumane acts bestowed upon Sikhs in 1984".
