Gurdev Singh Kang is no more
Satnam Singh Khalsa 

Sardar Gurtej Singh Kang, a proactive member of the community, is no more. He passed away on January 9, 2010 while he was still in India. He leaves behind his wife, 4 sons and 2 daughters, 2 son-in-laws, and 14 grandchildren.

Born on July 9, 1932, S. Gurdev Singh Kang retired in 1989 as a D.S.P. of Punjab Police after working for the force for 36 years. Hailing from Village Khamano Kalan in district Fatehgarh Sahib, Gurdev Singh Kang was currently residing in Patiala with his family.

Since 1997, he lived in USA with his second oldest son and returned to India on February 17, 2008.

The attendees at the funeral and bhog ceremony included  the D.I.G. of Patiala, S.S.P. of Patiala, Rani Preneet Kaur M.P., Jassi Khangura M.L.A Kila Raipur, Prem Singh Chandumajra, Gurpreet Singh Raju Khanna, Harmel Singh Tohra, Sukhdev Singh Libra,  and many more relatives and close friends.
