Haryana gurdwara panel alleges intimidation
WSN Network

Karnal: The parallel Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, formed by the Sikhs of Haryana, has alleged that the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) had stationed about 300 people in all the main gurdwaras of the state to intimidate the Sikhs of Haryana.

Haryana Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (Adhoc) chief Jagdish Singh Jhinda said out of the 300-odd people stationed in the shrines in Haryana, only 40 were regular SGPC employees.

The SGPC had a couple of days back sent members of their Task Force to Haryana after Jhinda announced that the Sikhs of Haryana would 'take control' of the the main SGPC run shrines if their demand for a separate Gurdwara Committee was not conceded. Jhinda announced setting up of a 500-strong task force to counter the SGPC challenge.
