Turlock Parade witnesses new forum
Govt of the Khalsa forum launched

Turlock: An impressive Nagar Kirtan on June 28, 2009 at Turlock becamse the occasion for launch of Government of the Khalsa forum with Simran Singh as its president and Manjit Singh Saini as its vice president who then explained the objectives of the outfit and the need for such an initiative.

Gurjit Singh Jhampur, Coordinator of the Sikhs for Justice forum then helped explain the objectives in Punjabi for the benefit of the sangat that had converged to participate in the parade in commemoration of the martyrdom day of the fifth Sikh Master, Guru Arjan Dev ji.
Many enthusiastic participants submitted membership forms on the spot for the forum.
The programs started in right earnest after the bhog of Sri Akhand Path Sahib followed by Kirtan. Sant Baba Pritpal Singh thanked the sangat and then invited Bhai Simran Singh to acquaint the sangat with the new organisation. Kulwant Singh Mander was the stage secretary.

Bhai Jasbir Singh, the main witness in the case against mass murderer Jagdish Tytler, urged the sangat to join the movement for securing justice and asked community members to reach Washington DC on November 1, 2009. Sukhwinder Singh Sidhu, the coordinator, had also accompanied him. Davinder Singh Rania also addressed the sangat.
This was followed by an Ardas to see off the Nagar Kirtan, led by Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji and Five Pyaras. Sangat from far and wide participated despite intensive heat conditions.
